Tao College - Doctor of Asian Religions and Philosophy
The Doctor of Asian Religions and Philosophy Degree is the culmination of study for those interested in exploring the traditional
religions, philosophy, and spirituality of Asia.
The program must be successfully completed within four years from the start date to qualify for graduation, although this program
would typically be completed more quickly. Extension may be granted upon the written request of the student.
Prerequisite:
The prerequisite is the completion of one of the following before enrolling in this program:
Master of Asian Religions and Philosophy from Tao College (or an approved college or university)
or one of the following from an approved college or university:
Master of Religious Studies
Master of Philosophy
Master of Divinity
Master of Theology
Master of Metaphysical Theology
Similar Master's Degrees may be accepted.
Program Requirements:
The student will conduct extensive research in the specific area of interest within the field of Asian Religions and Philosophy. The
student will work with a mentor faculty member in the development of a substantial paper. There is ample room for creativity.
Additional Program Requirements:
Students are not required to take any entrance exams to enroll in this program. Students are expected to have exceptional writing
skills. Students are expected to be organized and self-motivated in order to complete this program.
